With the holiday season now here we wanted to give everyone a glimpse into what P.R.E. has in store for 2015. One of the biggest questions everyone seems to have in the off season is when will the schedule for next season be out? We know you need to plan. We understand that having this information as early as possible is important when you need to schedule vacation or plan finances. With that in mind we are announcing the dates we have confirmed as of now for 2015. We are still working with the tracks on additional dates and expect that we will be confirming more dates soon.
For 2015 we will be offering package deals on trackdays that will save you money, and we be continuing our policy of including camping and power at no additional cost. Also don't forget that with P.R.E. there are no membership fees. We will announce pricing soon once we have all the details finalized, but we are expecting about a 2-3% increase over last year. Registration will open for 2015 events on January 1 with a brand new website and registration system.
We also are adding a new twist in 2015 with the addition of a mini class to our events on VIR's Patriot Course.The mini class will run in addition to our regular group format and be limited to motorcycles with a mini chassis. Two-stroke displacement will be limited to 65 - 100cc, and four-stroke displacement to 100 - 185cc's. The class will use Intermediate group rules. The schedule for the Patriot days will be from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm and run in order of Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and Mini. Each group will get seven 17 minute long sessions throughout the day.
We are continuing our tradition of supporting the Roadracing World Action Fund in 2015. To date this group has raised over $90,000 dollars and deployed sixty sections of Airfence to Road Atlanta and VIR. We are extremely proud of this effort born of the desire to make a difference in racetrack safety. This year's fundraiser will be on Saturday, June 27th at VIR South.
We are also bringing back our CMP karting championship on the evening of October 3rd where 32 drivers will compete for a 2016 P.R.E season pass. Congratulations to Joey Bristow the 2014 winner and recipient of a pass to all 2015 P.R.E. trackdays.
We also appreciate all of the 2014 thank you notes we have received over the last few weeks. It really means a lot to know that so many have faith in this new organization. From all of us at P.R.E. we want to wish everyone a wonderful holiday season, and a very merry Christmas.
