Hey guys i have a question about VIR south course, specifically the fast left before oak tree turn. A buddy of mine tld me that he never lets off comin out of the fishhook all the way threw the fast left to oak tree turn. Is it possible to hold it wot all the way threw that turn, i let off and kinda coast for a bit then get back in it comin out of that turn. If thats possible it may gain me a few seconds.

Once I get to the top of the hill I'll bring it as far too the right side of the track as I can and apply a touch of brake... tip it in and maintenance throttle through the turn then back on hard enough to wheelie down the hill.

This... for certain.
I could go full throttle from the kink to that fast left turn if I was riding my XR70 pit bike. I'm not even sure you could pull that off on a SV650.

If he is keeping it pinned all the way through there, he needs to shift out of 2nd gear or something...

LOL i dont guess he is trying to kill me, i normally turn 1:18's at vir south, and was trying to get into the 1:15's, so he was telling me that he holds it pinned threw there and i should have no trouble doing that since im on an old cbr 600 F3...

Well, my best at South is a 1:10, and I can't hold it pinned through there. Fuck that trash. That's a candidate for a ride on your ass down the hill...

Ron make sure it's wet when we try it as I think either CJ or Cal hold the current record for distance traveled after leaving the track there.

The place you'll pick up time by going faster is into the corner just before Oak Tree, not through the kink.
