2002 SV650 track/race only, cheap
« on: August 27, 2014, 05:54:05 PM »

The time has come. It's too close to deployment time for me to be doing track days.

2002 SV650. I took this bike from beginner to advanced over the past few years and it has never let me down. This is a cornerspeed bike, and the skills it has taught me are invaluable. Great way to learn to go fast the right way, and keep the costs down. Even at an A pace you can go all season on a set of tires.

It was raced in CCS for some time before I bought it for track days.
If you know this bike, you know

Had a slow lowside on the out lap at VIR last october. Made some trackside repairs and rode the rest of the day and the day after as well. The bodywork has some rash and a couple of cracks, but everything mounts up securely. The exhaust and rearsets also have some rash, and the footpeg I had to scrounge doesn't match. Pics below.

Sharkskinz bodywork, secured with BRAND NEW ZIPTIES FRESHLY INSTALLED
GP Tech fairing stay
Custom rear subframe to fit k6/k7 GSXR600 superbike tail will be included. The OEM stay is currently mounted.
03 GSXR600 front end
Fox shock, only a few trackdays on rebuild by performance cycleworx
Woodcraft clip-ons, case cover, and rearsets.
MotoD tank grips
2nd gen. cam swap
APE cam tensioners
M4 full exhaust
Smaller, relocated battery with modified wire harness.
520 chain and sprockets.
Keyless gas cap and starting
Brembo front brake master cylinder
D211 front, Dunlop KR slick rear
Custom rear subframe to fit k6/k7 GSXR600 superbike style tail will be included. The OEM subframe is currently mounted with the sharkskinz tail.

Whatever spares and associated parts I have will be included. There are quite a lot of street parts, including bodywork, that you could sell to make some money back.
Also:
Single temp chicken hawk tire warmers *these are old and I had to replace one of the power cords last year. As of right now they are still going strong.
Spare set of wheels with rotors
1 brand new D211 front tire

No title.
Located in Raleigh, NC. $1700 for everything, excluding stands

Bump
Price reduced
I just had a mechanic friend clean (with an ultrasonic machine) and sync the carbs. Bike runs great!
Also ordered a few woodcraft bits to clean up the foot controls.

Oh. Your original post said $1,700 so I thought reduced meant less than that : ) I have a friend looking for one. I'll forward it to them.
