What are you gonna work on 2021
« on: December 15, 2020, 05:23:16 PM »

Perhaps not being the evaluate me guy and just go ride your ride for the bump or really out thought into just moving forward. Our crew knows how to go faster. This is the place to ask. We not rule. No askhole. You want info accept it or not but don’t tell a responder no that’s not......

Not Crashing.  It may not be the best response but it's the truth.   Embarrassment

My ribs still hurt from being shattered in turn one at CMP in 2002.

Set higher goals. Crashing is gonna happen. Some walk up to it. Some run, but we all do. It’s part of progress. If I didn’t hit my head on a coffee table 10-30 times as a toddler I not know how walkie. Or cuss. I can walk but I am a cuss aficionado...
Nothing wrong with taking slow progress.
My big plan is when I am riding for me to pay attention = consistent laps proper adjustments early in the day and ride the whole session. Leave with a plan to test areas and things.
Spend at least 5-7 min per session just riding. IE application of things learned or discovered.
Over all Point is have a plan for all my sessions.
Be it test a brake point or shift. Change in line. Change in suspension setting.
What I love is based on the schedule. If you can’t get dialed at CMP or VIR off our schedule you are not trying.
Come on 2021.

I want to work on hard braking at lean. I am also always working on my vision, keeping my eyes up and down the track.

Will work on selling the 300 and fixing the 3 other broken bikes I have.  Clearing the garage of the 300 I fixed for a friend.

Got a lot of great feedback from all the CR's this year, so I know of several things. The full list is so long it's embarrassing, lol. Here are a few things.

1) More work on opening the throttle more quickly (will be installing the last, most aggressive throttle cam over winter to help with that)
2) Braking later and harder, and taking care of all my downshifting quickly just beforehand (and staying on throttle longer before that)
3) Looking farther up the track
4) Using all of the track
5) etc.

I want to work on:

visual markers and off track visualization.

Carrying speed through tight corners

Maintaining relationships with all the great people I meet.

collecting useful data and logging my journal more consistently.

Eating better/healthier- trackside

New goal be Covid negative cause it fucking sucks.

Cary, faster open should be second thought on throttle. Smooth and quick.

See you all soon.

Damn, dude, you’ve been careful! Any idea how?

Thanks. Yeah, getting there smoothly is always my goal (I’m extremely high-side averse and probably overly cautious, if that’s possible); just wanna open it up with a bit less twist.
Of course I should also work on just carrying more speed through corners. I’m on the gas at apex, but if I’m still a bit slower and thus lower in revs, then I’m lower in hp and guaranteed to suffer for it.

And fitness. I really need to do a better job of being better prepared physically.

Forget stationary. If you have a bike get a smart trainer. Will help you keep from getting bored.
