VIR Patriot 10/25 & North 10/26
« on: October 20, 2020, 08:18:16 AM »

Hey PRE Team - exited to ride with you guys again for 1st time in 4 years. I've never been to VIR, as a result I have a few questions about VIR facilities and access:

-Can we access the facilities on Saturday night and if so what time?
-Is camping allowed in tents and are there flat areas to set up a tent? Or, should I be considering a hotel in a nearby location like Danville or South Boston?
-Are there showers at the facilities?

Thanks,
Pat

Stay tuned for an email from John Allen which will have all of this info.

But!  Yes, the gate will open for us Sat (time will be in the email as it varies depending on who is at the track before us).

Camping is allowed and PRE covers camping and electric fees.  The paddock isn’t huge for Patriot but plenty of spots for tents etc.  North is huge/paved.

Showers are in the large building next to the Pagoda grill at North paddock and there’s a shower house across from the skid pad (between Patriot and North).

Any chance we could get some specialized instruction during the mini day at Patriot?  By the end of the day I would like to be able to ride dank wheelies and do smoky burnouts.  Taylor?

At North, many of us generally pitch our tents right on the paddock, but I've seen folks pitch on the grass near the pond or across from it. At patriot, the paddock is grass. I only went once and don't recall how flat it can be (I was not on a flat spot). The showers work. They're not luxury, but they work.
