“ Cleanliness is next to....”
« on: March 24, 2020, 09:57:59 AM »

Question: is anyone else’s race bike exceptionally clean at the moment...???  I don’t mean “Ruhe” clean ... but cleaner than usual...??

See the Ask Max Speed Cycles section of the forum for why cleaning is soooo important.

My bike was already clean. If this lasts much longer it might be on a road towards Ruhe clean. Just In that direction. No way I could ever actually get it that clean.

I once recall a comment or post somewhere, sometime, where somebody said, "Wow--that's crazy clean for a track bike."   ... for a track bike?

From the CR perspective of safety, personally, I would almost expect that a track bike would be the cleanest, most maintained bike in one's shop.  I do love when y'all's racing bikes and track bikes roll through tech and they're CLEAN, well-maintained, and it speaks volumes about the rider's mindset.

A friend of mine just hit me up about Ducati tools and basic stuff needed to start working on his own bike and I couldn't be happier about it.  You'll always do a better job of working on your stuff than a shop will because it's YOURS.  Imagine the minor issues you'll catch before they become big ones and having to hear bad news in the tech inspection line............

Now go on out there and clean and inspect your bikes during this COVID-19 crisis so you're ready for track season because IT. IS. COMING.

We are currently using my bikes as plates to eat off of.
