Slicks and winter storage
« on: December 03, 2019, 08:22:39 AM »

Good morning gents.

So i just realized, my bike is sitting in my garage(unheated) on stands with the Dunlop slicks on them.  Are there any special steps i need to take to protect them during winter?

If you put a cup full of water on the floor next to the bike is it ever going to freeze solid? If not I wouldn't worry about it.

If your garage is attached to your heated house I'd imagine that it won't get cold enough to worry about. On the very coldest nights, I crack the door to my garage open and let a bit of heat in there. Like John said, if it gets below freezing, then you need to do something about your water in your radiator to keep it from freezing.

Its a detached Garage.  My wife stole both attached garages.  One is a dog house and the other is baby storage.

I dont think it gets below freezing in the big garage, so i may be fine

Thanks guys

Well short of letting your wife have any say what so ever about the garage and the subsequent revocation of your man card. Sounds like you got it solved.
