? for any CBR600RR riders ('o7 if that matters)
« on: October 03, 2019, 12:34:17 PM »

I will be doing my second event in a row at the same track.  My front tire (Dunlop slick) is showing significantly more wear on the right side than the left.  I know I can flip the tire and even out the wear.

But does anybody know if I can just flip the whole wheel and tire.  There is a directional arrow on the wheel, although the wheel (stock) is not one with slanted (directional) spokes.

It looks like I should be able to just flip the whole tire and wheel.  Anybody know for sure?

I had an 07 CBR600RR and I i recall the front wheel would not mount properly in both directions. I accidentally tried and mount backwards once. Don’t recall what didn’t work, but just that it didn’t. Even if it had fit I would not try and run it backwards. As Ron mentioned, most rotors are directional.

Spacing and offset would be different.

I rode a 600RR for years.  You can not flip the front wheel.    We found this out by accident  :)  If you mount it backwards it will be bound up bad
