sv 650 help
« on: April 08, 2019, 08:51:17 PM »

Hey guys just a quick question. A friend of mine has a 2017 sv 650s that he is wanting to put new spark plugs in.  I have been volunteered to help. How big of a pia am I looking at here?   Im guessing remove the radiator for the front 2 plugs, but what all for the rear, I dnt want to spend all wkend on this lol.   How long am I looking at to do this? And do I need any special tools?

It’s a 2017 why would the plugs need to be changed?

That said can’t imagine a 17 is dramatically different than a 2003. Front. Get radiator out of the way and pull plugs. As for rear on the single plug models you could just lift and support the tank and reach the plug. Odds are way easier if you pull the tank. I have a dual plug 2007 in mine and just plugged the second plugs.
