 That's cool, Mike.
Kudos for taking care of your gear!

That's what's so great about SIDI boots - replace parts instead of trashing and buying new when they wear out.

How much are the Sidi soles Ruhe? I know A* has a program where you can sent the Supertech's back and they'll re-sole and ship to you for $100. Not sure whether A* will send the soles and let someone DIY though.

That reminds me - I need to check the soles on my boots to see how well the ShoeGoo has held up after our Road Atlanta weekend and a race round.

Soles $20 still doing glue research. Talked to a show repair guy told me to just bring them in. I may pull the other sole clean up boots and take them to this guy. For $70 total cant beat it on a $400 pair of boots.

I've got a local Cobbler who does the soles for $20. He has done it several times for me already.

Matt - can you post said cobbler's info here?

Since there are several PRE riders in the Raleigh triangle area they might also be interested (I know I am)!

Hmm - I might need to give A* a shout and check the cost of a Supertech sole....

Well upon doing some research of said cobbler to share with you I discovered that he went out of business. So it turns out that I do not have a cobbler anymore.

Susan did not know you were SIDI repair specialists what the heck am I doing? Reading about cure rates and applications etc.

Here is best non messy tip for replacing your soles.

Step 1A) take boots off
Step 2B) put powder in boots so they don't smell
Step 3C) take boots to Susan at Track

Thx Susan!

I've looked at Sidi boots for years - I think I even tried on a pair way back when and if I remember they felt narrow - but had never pulled the trigger. Thinking about this again now though...

Here's a question Susan. I LOVE that the Vortice has a replacement part for the ball of the foot where I continually dig into the soles of my A* with the pegs. However, looking at the Mag1 it looks like they've gone to a full sole w/o that replacement capability. Is there a way to use the Vortice replacement sole on the Mag1 boot? So, after the first complete sole replacement you only need to replace the ball of foot section going forward?
