Yeah Ruhe - during one of our stops I mentioned to Pam that I now understand why you love that road as much as we love I95.

We got home at 3am - ugh.

Loren and Julia made the right call staying overnight at Lake Hartwell! Not sure if the drive is better during the day (maybe less shutdowns for construction?) but it's gotta be easier than two full days on track and then trying to drive back.

BUT all that said - we had a blast!!

I lived in Lawrenceville in the early 90s.  We went to the aquarium Friday.  I can't believe how much worse the traffic is now.  Saturday night I took 85s to the hotel off exit 126.  Stop and go the whole way.  WTF. It didn't used to get bad until jimmy carter blvd.

Holy crap. I was the last one out (as always), and I still got home by 10:30. The 85 mess was obviously past where us SoCar folks get off. I hope any construction garbage is done before I head to VIR later in the summer or I’ll be looking at connecting to John’s route or something.

Back on topic - yep, a bit sore. Mostly just having trouble sleeping and paying attention to anything, because zipping around on that 750 is all I can think about!

A lot of new to PRE guys that had not been evaluated for A group.  I kept looking for the anchor I was dragging around.

Thanks! I tried to hang with you, but I clearly need to practice tighter or wider lines to help me pass with confidence that I won’t alter anyone’s line.

Yeah, Taylor was there at the end, but it was Joel who took second on the gate-closer podium! :)

The Kilted Boys had a great time as always...we love coming to PRE events and plan to attend as many as possible this year.  Met many new friends, met up with some old friends, and so enjoyed the whole weekend.  There were some very fast riders in all groups, and I really appreciate how respectful everyone was this past weekend.  As I haven't been out this year due to a winter illness, my legs were pretty sore Monday...did the Frankenstein walk down my stairs to the basement when I got home.

Thanks Mike, John, and the whole PRE family for putting on such a great event.  It is so much more than just riding at speed when you ride with PRE, it is truly an "experience"!

BTW, that was the cleanest riding I've seen in I.  I was passed a lot Saturday and Sunday morning and never experienced or saw a sketchy pass.

I’ll grab a drink with you guys next time.  Was big weekend for me and y’all are so much fun I was a little gunshy from 2016 still!   Some days I still feel that hangover   Seriously though, good seeing y’all.

Joel,
I behaved both nights...relatively speaking but I can't speak for my other Kilted brothers.   :haha:  Still, we always have a good time and like to share our stories, laughs, and libations.  It was good to see you again, we'll see you down the road at another event no doubt.

As Dave previously mentioned, I rode in I group both days and got passed by some very fast riders and never had one bad pass either day.  Very well behaved group...my wife is always glad to know I had a good time and that some knucklehead didn't take me out with a miscalculated pass.
