What’s the consensus on the auto blip?

pros and cons of FTECU vs Trans logic?

Are they both plug and play or do they really need some tuning on a dyno to get the blip just right? (Translogic mentions that in their description)

Go with the Translogic unit Dan.

It'll take a little longer to run the wiring, but not too much and if you're doing off-season maintenance of changing or cleaning the air filter you're most of the way there anyway.

The Translogic unit works really, really well and you don't need to do anything to set it up. The first time you use it you'll be asking yourself why you didn't do it sooner - at least I did!

Do not buy the YART or FTECU cheater box. We can set you up with no worry of codes for Free.
Also when ordering brake lines I recommend Core. When you order ask Luke to add an inch - 2 inches to the lines after the T.

Ruhe, why do you recommend adding an inch or two? The standard size isn’t really long enough or does having the extra length allow a different benefit or better routing or something?

Well when you get your forks extended and set properly when you put it up on a triple stand the lines are real tight stock length. As this bike likes to wheelie it was a concern. There really shouldn’t be a great deal of added cost.

Ah.  I'd never considered thats why my Spiegler front lines were so long.  Although I'd never really considered extending my forks either... so that's probably why.

Thanks again for the great info Mike! :tiphat:

And Core Moto was having a sale on the R1 kit. Was easy to add 1” to the front.

Now I have to sit around waiting on parts :(

I ordered from Superbike Unlimited. They too had a bit of a sale so I came out cheaper than expected. I wanted to order through them anyway since they sponsor Westby. I try and support the companies who support racing.

When I ordered through Core I had the ability to let them know I heard about them through MotoAmerica team. Sorry Ruhe, I gave Westby racing the referral credit ;)

Hey that’s fine but giving PRE credit can only help in the future. Just sayin’
