Power Road Atlanta
« on: March 15, 2021, 05:12:11 PM »

It’s been years since I’ve been to Road Atlanta. Power hook ups were few and far between back in the day, is it still like that? Figuring out if I need to bring a generator or not.

They have improved the amount of outlets but I always bring my generator just in case

Yup I do the same.  Always bring the generator.  Easier to have it and not need it.

Now if they could just sort out the water outlets...

OK, I was just at RA, and I think things are different from what they were in April (or maybe I didn’t get a great spot and ran my generator in April and didn’t notice the updates then).
Anyway, every pole I saw had maybe 5 separate 50-amp hookups and just two 120 outlets. No 30-amp.

So… time to shop for an adapter (4-prong NEMA 14-50P male to 4X 5-20R household outlet female, I think is what I want/need?) to be ready for spring and not be super stressed about getting power.
Of course by spring they’ll probably have added more 120’s and this will have been a waste, lol, but better safe than sorry.
